Key figures
"For the class" means measured against the 46 other bikes on this site within 40 cc of this one. It is arithmetic against our own catalogue, not an opinion, and it changes as the catalogue grows.
What this bike is
The Shine 100 is Honda's cheapest bike in Bangladesh at Tk 1,11,000, and against Bajaj's CT 100 ES, Tk 9,100 dearer, it gives up a little and saves a little: 7.29 PS against the CT's 7.59 bhp and 9 litres of fuel against 10.5, but 11 kg less weight, at 100 kg, and a combined braking system on its 130 mm front drum, which Bajaj does not list. Both have drums at both ends and four gears. The Shine 100 DX costs Tk 6,000 more for the same engine, a litre more fuel and 1 kg more weight, and its sheet does not mention CBS, so ask which one the dealer's bike has.
Who it suits. Riders who want the lightest, cheapest Honda for short daily trips and value combined braking over a bigger tank.
Written in September 2026 from Honda's own published figures, which are in the specification table on this bike's spec page. We have not ridden it and we do not pretend to have.
Good and less good
In its favour
- Light for the class at 100 kg.
Against it
- Modest for the class at 7.19 bhp.
- Honda does not mention ABS on its own specification sheet for this model, so we cannot confirm it either way.
Every point here is read off the manufacturer's published figures or off a comparison with the other bikes on this site. None of it comes from riding the motorcycle, because we have not.
