125cc Bikes in Bangladesh
One of the most mixed classes on this site: commuters, scooters and a few small sports and naked bikes, all between 118 and 130 cc.

One capacity, several kinds of bike
This class holds geared commuters such as Suzuki's GSX 125, Runner's Turbo 125, Yamaha's Saluto 125cc TVS's Raider and Honda's SP 125; scooters such as Suzuki's Access 125, Yamaha's Ray-ZR 125 Fi, Runner's Skooty 125, TVS's Ntorq 125 RE, Aprilia's SR 125s and Vespa's VXL 125s; Aprilia's FX 125 naked; and, from the old catalogue, small sports and naked bikes such as Kawasaki's Ninja 125 and KTM's Duke 125. Engine size alone tells you little across those groups, so start with the kind of bike you want.
Tanks, weights and missing prices
Among the geared commuters, tanks differ more than engines do: Runner's Turbo 125 carries 15 litres, Suzuki's GSX 125 14.2, TVS's Raider 10, Yamaha's Saluto 7.6 and Bajaj's Discover 125 8. Honda's SP 125 carries 11. Aprilia's FX 125, a naked rather than a commuter, carries 18. Weights run from 113 kg for the Saluto to 133 kg for the Turbo. Among the scooters, Yamaha lists the Ray-ZR 125 Fi at 99 kg with a full tank and Suzuki the Access 125 at 102 kg, both with around 5 litres of fuel.
Several bikes here show no price: TVS publishes none for the Raider or the Ntorq, and Bajaj's Bangladesh site no longer lists the Pulsar 125, which the old catalogue held without a price.

Is 125cc enough in Bangladesh?
This site has not ridden these bikes, so it will not tell you how one feels. On published figures, most 125 cc commuters and scooters here are quoted between about 8 and 13 horsepower, and several carry tanks of 14 litres or more.
Is a 125cc cheaper to register than a 150cc?
BRTA sets its registration charges by engine capacity, so a smaller engine can fall in a lower band. BRTA's current schedule has the exact amounts.
