Scooters in Bangladesh

Automatic scooters sold in Bangladesh, cheapest first. A bike is filed here only when its own sheet says it is automatic, or its maker calls it a scooter.

2 of the 29 bikes here carry prices that have not been confirmed in over a year, and their cards say so.

What makes a scooter a scooter here

This site files a bike as a scooter on evidence, not on its looks or its name. Most scooters here state a CVT, a V-belt or an automatic transmission on their sheets. CFMOTO's 150SC states a centrifugal clutch. TVS's own Bangladesh catalogue lists the Ntorq 125 RE as a scooter, and Syntax calls its Neo 125, Willow 125 and Blaze scooters. Runner states a CVT on the Vespa VXL 125 and the older Aprilia SR sheets; the newer SR, SXR and VXL 125 CBS sheets state no transmission, and those are filed here on the evidence of their siblings' sheets and their own photographs. Runner's Skooty 110 states no transmission on its sheet, but Runner's own shop files it under scooters, which is the maker calling it one, so it is filed here.

Figures worth comparing

Scooter tanks are small, so read the tank beside any mileage figure. On this site they run from 5 litres, on Suzuki's Access 125 and TVS's Ntorq 125 RE, to 11 litres on Lifan's KPV 150 and KPV Race 150 4V. Engines run from Yamaha's 113 cc Ray-ZR to Aprilia's 160 cc SXR 160. Among 125s, Syntax's Neo 125 is quoted at the most power, 11.4 hp, with discs at both ends. CFMOTO's 150SC Lifan's KPV Race 150 4V and Taro's Grand Imola ADV 165 are the scooters with dual channel ABS stated; Yamaha states single channel ABS for the Aerox 155, and Runner states ABS for Aprilia's SR 150 ABS, SR 150 Race ABS, SR 150 Race Carbon ABS and SXR 160. The cheapest of those is the SR 150 ABS at Tk 2,60,400.

Scooters without a published price

Most scooters here come from their makers' Bangladesh websites, and two of those makers publish no price at all: TVS for the Ntorq 125 RE and CFMOTO for the 150SC.
