Reading a class this crowded
With so many bikes of nearly the same capacity, engine size decides nothing and the rest of the sheet decides a lot. Four things separate them most clearly on paper. Cooling: Yamaha's R15, MT-15 and Aerox and Suzuki's GSX-R150 state liquid cooling, as do Aprilia's GPR 150 and Terra 150, while Yamaha's FZ family, Suzuki's Gixxer, Gixxer SF and Monotone and Runner's 150s are air cooled. Brakes: some list discs at both ends, such as the FZS V2, FZS V4 and UM's Xtreet 150, and others a rear drum. ABS: dual channel on the R15 V4, R15 M and GSX-R150, single channel on the FZS V4, FZS Fi Hybrid and Aerox 155, ABS without a channel count on Aprilia's SR 150 ABS scooters, and not stated on many others. And weight, which runs from 113 kg to 160 kg across the class. The most power quoted for any 150 here is Lifan's KPT 150 Fi ABS, 20.4 PS and 17.5 Nm.
Families hiding in the list
Where bikes here publish identical engine figures, it is usually one family in different forms: the R15 V3 and the MT-15s, the R15 V4, R15 M and Monster Energy edition, or the FZS V4, FZ-X and FZS Fi Hybrid.

Air cooled or liquid cooled at 150cc?
On this site, most of the liquid cooled 150s, such as Yamaha's R15 and MT-15 and Suzuki's GSX-R150, are quoted at more power than the air cooled ones and listed for more. How that difference feels on the road is not something this site can tell you, because it has not ridden them.
Does a 150cc bike cost more to register?
Registration is charged by engine capacity, so a 150 can land in a higher band than a 110 or a 125. BRTA publishes the current amounts.
