On Yamaha's own figures, the R15 V3 is the better engine buy than the R15 V4: 19.3 PS and 14.7 Nm against 18.4 and 14.2, at the same weight, for Tk 80,000 less. The V4 answers with equipment the V3's sheet does not list, traction control, an upside down fork and riding modes. The rival worth weighing is Suzuki's GSX-R150 at Tk 4,950 more: it quotes nearly the same power, 19.2 PS, weighs 11 kg less and states dual channel ABS. The R15 V3 is the more powerful of the pair by a fraction.
Who it suits. Buyers who want a faired 155 and care about the engine figures more than the V4's electronics.
