Mechanically the FZS V2 with a fairing and a slightly longer seat, and 4 kg heavier at 137 kg for the same 13.2 bhp and 12.8 Nm. The half fairing is the whole argument: it takes some of the wind off you on a longer run, which matters more on the highway than in the city. Like the V2 underneath it, Yamaha does not state ABS.
Who it suits. Someone doing regular intercity distance on a commuter budget who wants wind protection more than they want the lightest bike.
