On the manufacturer's own published figures, the difference is in equipment and detail rather than in performance. Yamaha does not state ABS on the sheet for this version either, which is worth checking with the dealer at this price.
Who it suits. Buyers who want the newer bike specifically. On quoted figures the V1 offers identical performance for less.
