What this bike is

The Saluto is the way into a Yamaha for the least money, and that is its whole argument, because on paper it is not the strongest buy among 125 cc commuters. Suzuki's GSX 125 costs Tk 21,550 less and quotes more power, 10.45 PS against 8.3, with a 14.2 litre tank against the Saluto's 7.6. Runner's Turbo 125 costs Tk 8,500 less than the Saluto and carries nearly double its fuel. Where the Saluto answers back is weight: at 113 kg it is 13 kg lighter than the GSX and 20 kg lighter than the Turbo. It is also carburetted and has four gears where the GSX has five.

Who it suits. Buyers set on a Yamaha who value a light bike over a big tank, and have looked at the GSX 125 first.
