Key figures
"For the class" means measured against the 100 other bikes on this site within 40 cc of this one. It is arithmetic against our own catalogue, not an opinion, and it changes as the catalogue grows.
What this bike is
The SP 160 Single Disc is Honda's cheapest bike above 125 cc, and Bajaj's Pulsar 150 Single Disc, Tk 6,200 dearer, is the comparison. The Pulsar is quoted at more power, 13.81 bhp against 12.9 PS, and carries 3 litres more fuel, while the Honda lists more torque, 14 Nm against 13.4, and weighs 5 kg less at 139 kg. It has a 276 mm front disc, a 130 mm rear drum and a monoshock. Honda's single specification page covers both SP 160 versions; for Tk 26,000 more, the Double Disc ABS adds ABS at the front and a 220 mm rear disc for 2 kg.
Who it suits. Riders stepping up from a 125 who want Honda's 160 engine for under two lakh.
Written in September 2026 from Honda's own published figures, which are in the specification table on this bike's spec page. We have not ridden it and we do not pretend to have.
Good and less good
In its favour
- One of the cheaper bikes in its body style on this site.
Against it
- Honda does not mention ABS on its own specification sheet for this model, so we cannot confirm it either way.
Every point here is read off the manufacturer's published figures or off a comparison with the other bikes on this site. None of it comes from riding the motorcycle, because we have not.
