Key figures
"For the class" means measured against the 8 other bikes on this site within 40 cc of this one. It is arithmetic against our own catalogue, not an opinion, and it changes as the catalogue grows.
What this bike is
The GP1 Version 4 is Taro's faired 250, quoted at 25.8 BHP and 21 Nm from 249.8 cc, with dual channel ABS, twin 300 mm front discs with four piston calipers, a slipper clutch and a 13.5 litre tank. Suzuki's Gixxer SF 250 is the closest priced rival, Tk 4,29,950 for 26.14 bhp and 22.2 Nm with dual channel ABS, and it weighs 161 kg against the Taro's 180. Who it suits. Riders who want twin front discs and a slipper clutch on a 250 and will compare a dealer quote with the Gixxer SF 250.
Written in September 2026 from Taro's own published figures, which are in the specification table on this bike's spec page. We have not ridden it and we do not pretend to have.
Good and less good
In its favour
- Taro states ABS for this model.
Against it
- Heavy for the class at 180 kg.
- The price we hold has not been confirmed recently, so treat it as indicative.
Every point here is read off the manufacturer's published figures or off a comparison with the other bikes on this site. None of it comes from riding the motorcycle, because we have not.
